Introducing one of the gins from Australia’s capital’s, Canberra in case you didn’t know, 😉. 🇦🇺 This pristine and elegant gin from @undergroundspirits debuted a couple of years ago (see my website for the review) and has won lots of awards since. Unlike many Aussie gins it has a restrained approach to native botanicals, so the net result is a very clean & dry finish with hints of pepper, citrus, and in the London Dry style. It makes for a crisp and upright Martini. Some context: the label is inspired by the layout of this relatively young city, originally designed by Walter & Marion Burley Griffin following an international design competition last century. Once derided as a boring government town, it’s now hitting it’s culinary and cocktail vibes in recent years.
