Well despite the best gin & vodka on offer, the perfect excuse to party, and plenty of inspiration these past weeks, it seems we can’t entice enough Martiniphiles to join us for our party.
Anyone who bought tickets will be refunded very soon by TEDxCanberra. Hopefully next year we’ll have better luck.

To celebrate World Martini Day in June (yes, its a thing) I’m thrilled to be partnering with my friends at TEDx Canberra for a very special evening.
H.L. Mencken called the Martini the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet; E. B. White called it “the elixir of quietude”, and Hemingway claimed that a Martini made him feel civilised.
The Martini: so deeply entrenched in popular culture, it even has its own (unofficial) US holiday.
You’ll be able to enjoy two specially crafted Martinis (one vodka, one gin) which I’ve created especially for the event.
A limited selection of other drinks from Hotel-Hotel’s menu will also be available for (gasp!) non-Martini drinkers (we may serve them in Martini glasses, so no one needs to know…).
Delectable canapes from Monster Kitchen and Bar will be served while you strut your sophisticated stuff to the mellow lounge sounds of The President’s Own Jazz Quartet.
I’ve also sourced premium Australian craft spirits for this event, including the superb Applewood Distillery gin from the Adelaide Hills, and the award winning Vodka from Archie Rose in Sydney, so you can experience the best Martinis around.
The fabulous crew from Hotel Hotel will be working under my direction in the bar to ensure Martini perfection.
A night to remember and not to be missed, see you there friends!
