Each June 11 there’s a global celebration of gin: World Gin Day!
And a week later it’s World Martini Day, so it’s an exciting time for me and an excuse,in case I needed one, to mix myself something agreeable in a glass. 🙂
In times past I’ve hosted tastings, been a guest at gin launches and staged fabulous degustation dinners, but this year I opted for a quiet night in and a fireside chat.
Get comfy, and I hope you enjoy my take on the modern history of the evolution of craft gins around the world over the past 20 or so years.
I touch on the following brands:
- Aviation
- Island Gin from New Zealand
- Jensens Dry Gin
- Ki No Bi
- Kangaroo Island Spirits
- Little Juniper
- Melbourne Gin Company
- Martin Millers
- Plymouth
- Tanqueray No.10
- Tempus Two
- plus others!
See you next week for a look at some interesting facets of the Martini.
